Enjoy Ruffino Prosecco on its own or mix it into a favorite cocktail. It‘s also delicious served with pizza, fish, shellfish, or white meat dishes.
Prosecco is a sparkling white wine made only in specific provinces of northeastern Italy. All Prosecco wines are made primarily from the Glera grape, a native variety with origins in the lovely village of Prosecco, near Trieste. The Glera grape gives the wine structure and body and is considered to be the heart of Prosecco wines, just as Sangiovese is the heart of Tuscan wines. Ruffino Prosecco DOC is made entirely of Glera grapes. It's easy-to-drink style makes it a versatile food companion. Prosecco is also perfect as an aperitif or mixed into cocktails.
Grapes for Prosecco come from highly desirable vineyards in northeastern Italy. The first stage in making Prosecco follows traditional white wine methods. In the second stage, the Charmat method is used to bring about a secondary fermentation before the wine is bottled under pressure, preserving all of the fresh fruit characteristics of the wine.
Organic Glera Grapes
Ruffino Prosecco has been produced from grapes grown in the hilly area of Valdobbiadene, one of the most well known regions for the production of Prosecco.
The selected grapes undergo a traditional white wine vinification. Wines from different areas of the Valdobbiadene region are often blended in order to obtain a fruity and balanced wine.
